Shape the Delivery of Major Infrastructure Projects

Are you an experienced Senior Planner looking to play a key role on complex, high-value infrastructure programmes?

We're recruiting on behalf of a global engineering and technology leader for a Senior Planner to join their growing project delivery team. Working on major infrastructure programmes, you'll be responsible for developing, managing and optimising project schedules that drive successful delivery from concept through to completion.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on technically challenging projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and influence key project decisions on nationally significant programmes.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Planner, you'll be at the heart of project delivery, developing integrated programmes, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing the insight needed to keep complex projects on track.

Working closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial teams, subcontractors and clients, you'll ensure robust planning processes are embedded throughout the project lifecycle while providing clear, data-driven reporting to support strategic decision-making.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and manage detailed project programmes across complex infrastructure projects.
  • Build project schedules from first principles, ensuring all activities are logically linked and accurately sequenced.
  • Identify critical paths, programme risks and opportunities, providing proactive solutions to support successful delivery.
  • Produce integrated project plans in collaboration with project teams, clients and subcontractors.
  • Monitor progress, analyse programme performance and provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Support project teams with forecasting, schedule recovery planning and programme optimisation.
  • Work across the full project lifecycle, from tender and design through construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Provide planning expertise and strategic advice to Project Managers and delivery teams.
  • Mentor and support junior planners, sharing best practice and driving continuous improvement across the planning function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
