Senior Planner Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C
As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Enabling and Earthwork Section.

Join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring complex construction works are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Planner who can do more than maintain schedules. You'll have the capability to build robust construction programmes from technical drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies, transforming complex engineering information into clear, deliverable plans. You'll also be confident in communicating those programmes to a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring delivery teams, supply chain partners, project managers and senior leaders all understand the path to success.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes for major civil engineering, enabling and earthworks activities.
- Working closely with engineers, delivery teams and the supply chain to develop the optimum construction sequence, methodology, resources and production rates.
- Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and scope documents to create realistic and achievable delivery programmes.
- Identifying critical path activities, programme risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitoring progress against plan, analysing performance and recommending recovery strategies where required.
- Producing clear reports, dashboards and programme updates for project teams and stakeholders.
- Communicating complex programme information in a way that enables informed decision-making and drives project delivery.

What are we looking for?
We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- The ability to build construction programmes from drawings, specifications and technical information
- The ability to present, explain and communicate programme logic, sequencing and critical path activities to project teams and stakeholders
- Experience planning major construction, infrastructure or civil engineering projects
- Strong Primavera P6, MS Project or ASTA planning skills
- A sound understanding of construction methodologies, labour, plant and resource requirements
- Experience undertaking critical path and risk analysis
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
