Senior MEP Planner | Tier 1 Major Projects

Location: London & Home (Hybrid / Flexible Working)

Sector: Construction / Commercial Building

I am working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor who are seeking a talented Senior MEP Planner to support a portfolio of high-profile projects across the London region. Contributing throughout both the pre-construction and delivery stages, you will play a key role within their bid and construction teams.

The Role

In this senior capacity, you will provide MEP planning expertise to ensure programme certainty, mitigate delay risks, and drive strategic delivery. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Programme Leadership: Develop, coordinate, and integrate MEP work sequences, ensuring alignment with construction, procurement, and design activities.
  • Risk & Assurance: Oversee programme risk identification and mitigation, driving proactive forecasting while monitoring cause-and-effect relationships to recommend time-recovery solutions.
  • Tender & Delivery Integration: Prepare detailed tender, design, procurement, manufacture, and construction programmes to support bid competitiveness and delivery success.
  • Subcontractor Management: Review, challenge, and integrate specialist subcontractor programmes to ensure compliance with strategic objectives.
  • Reporting & Communication: Chair programme workshops, produce regular progress reports (including critical path reviews and baseline updates), and draw up visual schedules of work.
  • Technical Excellence: Enhance buildability, safety, quality, and value through thorough programme analysis, while providing vital input into the commissioning and handover process.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop junior planners to build long-term capability across the region.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain a highly professional approach with clients, professional teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
