The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior P6 Planner to support the successful delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects for a leading civil engineering contractor. Working across a portfolio of capital delivery schemes, you will play a key role in programme development, project controls, progress reporting, and schedule management throughout the project life cycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional with strong Primavera P6 expertise and a proven background delivering complex infrastructure, utilities, or water sector projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed Primavera P6 programmes.
  • Produce baseline, target, and contract programmes for multiple live projects.
  • Carry out critical path analysis and identify programme risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor project progress against key milestones and report variances.
  • Develop resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules where required.
  • Produce look-ahead programmes and short-term planning schedules.
  • Support project teams with programme recovery and mitigation strategies.
  • Review subcontractor programmes and integrate them into the master schedule.
  • Assist with change management, compensation events, and extension of time submissions.
  • Prepare programme reports, dashboards, S-curves, and performance updates for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate planning workshops and progress review meetings.
  • Work closely with operational, commercial, design, and client teams to ensure robust programme management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
