The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Planner – Project Controls to join a leading organisation supporting the delivery of complex, high-profile programmes within a highly regulated environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive planning professional with strong Primavera P6 and Project Controls expertise to play a key role in maintaining programme schedules, delivering robust planning solutions, and supporting informed project decision-making through high-quality planning and Earned Value Management.

Working alongside Project Managers, engineers, scientists, and multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure the integrity of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), provide accurate forecasting, and drive best practice planning across complex programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring accuracy, integrity, and alignment with programme objectives.
  • Develop, update, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Analyse critical path, network logic, dependencies, constraints, and project risks.
  • Produce accurate schedule forecasts and performance reporting.
  • Deliver Project Controls planning support across multiple complex projects.
  • Carry out Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis, including schedule variance and Schedule Performance Index (SPI) reporting.
  • Support Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and continuous improvement.
  • Lead planning meetings and provide planning expertise to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, scientists, and wider business functions.
  • Champion planning best practice and contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes, tools, and standards.
  • Support the development of EVMS processes, templates, guidance, and training.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
