Senior Planner

Heathrow Airport | Permanent | 2-3 days per week | £80,000-£90,000 + Leadership Development Opportunity

Are you an experienced Senior Planner looking for the next step in your career? We're supporting a well-established contractor delivering projects at Heathrow Airport who are looking to recruit a Senior Planner to join their close-knit and highly collaborative team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Planner with Tier 1 contractor experience and a strong understanding of NEC contracts to play a key role in the successful delivery of complex engineering and infrastructure projects. Whilst airport experience would be advantageous, it is by no means essential.

What makes this opportunity particularly interesting is the clear development pathway on offer. You'll work closely with the Planning Manager, gaining leadership exposure and mentoring that will prepare you to step into a more senior planning leadership role in the future. You'll also have the opportunity to support and oversee the planning function during periods when the Planning Manager is unavailable, providing valuable management experience and responsibility.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
