You will be working in the Infrastructure OU based in Peterborough where we are responsible for bringing design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide - combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.
Role: Senior Planner
We are currently looking for a Senior Planner who will work with the planning manager to develop, maintain and update the project programme. Work closely with the site team and our suppliers, clearly communicating the programme strategy, leading short-term programming.

As The Senior Planner, You Will
- Work with delivery team and SME’s to translate their proposals and methodologies into a project programme.
- Challenge outputs and logic to develop reliable programmes that can be delivered safely, efficiently and reliably while meeting all requirements of the Skanska and our customers planning standards.
- Assist in maintaining and updating main project programme, performance indicators and progress records, deliver collaborative planning and short-term programmes and prepare programme submission documents.
- Review suppliers programmes for compliance with our requirements.
- Work with project team and suppliers to produce and maintain collaborative look-ahead programmes that align with the main programme.
We Are Looking For
- Construction experience and technical understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques and best practices.
- Understanding of various forms of construction documents, contracts and specifications.
- Experience in both design and construction phase planning ideally whilst working for a construction contractor.
- Understanding of risk and opportunity management with particular reference to planning/programming.
- Relevant CSCS Card.
- Degree/HND/HNC in Construction / Engineering is preferred.
