Senior Planning Engineer (M&E)

Location: London
Salary: up to £110,000 + package

A leading UK main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer with strong M&E expertise to join their London team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role across a portfolio of major projects including commercial, healthcare and mixed-use developments, typically valued up to £300m.

Acting as the in-house MEP planning specialist, you will support project teams by developing and managing detailed construction programmes, ensuring M&E elements are fully integrated into the overall delivery strategy. Working closely with project, engineering and commercial teams, you will provide critical planning insight, helping to drive performance and ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed construction programmes with a focus on M&E integration
  • Provide specialist MEP planning support across multiple projects
  • Work closely with site teams to ensure programmes reflect construction sequencing and methodology
  • Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Produce programme reports and provide planning input to senior stakeholders
  • Support project teams through both pre-construction and delivery phases

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
