SENIOR PLANNER

Location: Padeswood, North Wales

Contract duration: initial 12-month contract - renewable

Start Date: ASAP

Project: Carbon Capture

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our project controls team for the construction phase of a major industrial project. This is a site-based role requiring full-time presence.

In this role, you will play a key part in the project controls team and support the planning activities for the construction phase of the project. You'll be key in planning and optimizing project schedules. Your duties include creating and updating schedules, managing risks, reviewing contractor plans, and using techniques to track performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage engineering and construction schedules across all project stages.
  • Apply Critical Path Method techniques to create detailed project networks and schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain resource-loaded schedules for sub-elements of large projects.
  • Review contractor programmes and schedules to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Identify risks early and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Use Earned Value Management techniques to monitor performance and progress.
  • Promote adherence to health, safety, environmental, quality, and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Preferably an engineering background.
  • Extensive experience in oil, gas, nuclear, or petrochemical sectors.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Power BI.
