About the Opportunity

We are recruiting a Senior Planner - the role will support key project deliverables across our nuclear project portfolio at an exciting time in the project to join an established team of Planners.

Accountable to the Planning Lead and Senior Project Controls Manager you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing the Programme of Work for your responsible area. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Establish project activities, logic, calendars, and milestones.
  • Coordinate programme inputs with respective stakeholders.
  • Monitor actual progress against planned progress through weekly and monthly programme planning cycles.
  • Support impact assessment of scope changes, variances, delays, and dependencies on the programme.
  • Maintain integrity of the programme via routine health checks (DCMA etc).
  • Provide detailed analysis of programme progress to scope owner in support of variance narrative.

Here’s What You’ll Need

Planning & Scheduling Expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge of scheduling methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Analytical Thinking:

  • Ability to interpret complex schedule data and provide actionable insights.

Systems Proficiency:

  • Skilled in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel

Experience:

  • Managing and administering Oracle Primavera P6
  • Experience in multi-user project environments, including configuration of EPS, OBS, calendars, resources, and activity codes would be an advantage
  • Implementing and executing Earned Value Management
  • Integrating subcontractor programmes into the Integrated Master Schedule

Communication:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present schedule data clearly to stakeholders.

Collaboration:

  • Experience working in cross-functional and international teams to develop and maintain programme.

Quality & Accuracy:

  • High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.

Leadership:

  • Ability to lead planning efforts and support less experienced colleagues across various functions.

Several years of experience in project planning and scheduling roles.

  • Understand the inter-relationship between time, cost, and commercial aspects of the project life cycle.
  • Exposure to Defence, Nuclear, Engineering, or Consulting sectors is a plus.
