Major Projects (Remote with Monthly Travel to Scotland)

Location: Remote (UK-based) with 1 week per month on site in the Scottish Highlands

You will work 3 weeks per month from home, with 1 week per month spent on site in Scotland. As a Prima Uno employee, all travel and accommodation expenses for site visits are fully covered.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates across all project phases.
  • Monitor budgets, track cost performance, and report variances against baselines.
  • Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and financial dashboards for project stakeholders.
  • Support change control processes by assessing cost impacts of variations.
  • Collaborate closely with planning, commercial, and project management teams.
  • Review and validate contractor cost submissions, invoices, and progress claims.
  • Maintain cost breakdown structures, coding systems, and financial controls.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in cost engineering, cost control, or project controls.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with cost management tools and Excel.
  • Background in nuclear, engineering, construction, or infrastructure is beneficial.
  • Confident working independently and communicating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Cost Control and Cost Management practices
  • Strong Analytical Skills and experience in Budgeting activities
  • Expertise in Cost Engineering methodologies
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with project controls processes, particularly in the infrastructure or nuclear sectors, is an advantage
  • Proficiency in relevant cost management software is a plus
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
