Major Projects (Remote with Monthly Travel to Scotland)
Location: Remote (UK-based) with 1 week per month on site in the Scottish Highlands

Prima Uno is seeking a skilled Senior Planner and Cost Engineers to support major projects within the nuclear and infrastructure sectors. This role offers an excellent balance of remote working and occasional site presence, ideal for someone who enjoys flexibility while contributing to high-profile programmes.

You will work 3 weeks per month from home, with 1 week per month spent on site in Scotland. As a Prima Uno employee, all travel and accommodation expenses for site visits are fully covered.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates across all project phases.
- Monitor budgets, track cost performance, and report variances against baselines.
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and financial dashboards for project stakeholders.
- Support change control processes by assessing cost impacts of variations.
- Collaborate closely with planning, commercial, and project management teams.
- Review and validate contractor cost submissions, invoices, and progress claims.
- Maintain cost breakdown structures, coding systems, and financial controls.
🎯 What We’re Looking For
- Experience in cost engineering, cost control, or project controls.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with cost management tools and Excel.
- Background in nuclear, engineering, construction, or infrastructure is beneficial.
- Confident working independently and communicating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in Cost Control and Cost Management practices
- Strong Analytical Skills and experience in Budgeting activities
- Expertise in Cost Engineering methodologies
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with project controls processes, particularly in the infrastructure or nuclear sectors, is an advantage
- Proficiency in relevant cost management software is a plus
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
