Senior Planning Account Manager
We're looking for a Senior Planning Account Manager to join Bountiful Cow's Planning & Client Team, taking day-to-day ownership of a varied portfolio of clients across several different categories.
This is an established level within the agency, sitting between Account Manager and Account Director. It's aimed at someone who's already an experienced Account Manager and ready for significantly more client and planning ownership, without needing to make the jump straight into an AD role.
You'll lead clients, briefs and planning projects with a high degree of autonomy, while still having an Account Director and Head of Planning around you for support when needed.
You'll also play an important role in developing the team beneath you, working with and supporting Executives and Apprentices and taking responsibility for the quality of work across your accounts.
There's a genuine progression route from here into Account Director. For someone performing strongly and demonstrating the right aptitude, around 12–18 months would be a realistic timeframe to start having those conversations.
The clients
You'll work across a diverse patch of clients, likely to include a number of the following:
- Workplace pensions & financial services
One of the UK's largest workplace pension providers, with millions of members. The work spans both employer audiences and consumer engagement, with a real opportunity to make a traditionally low-interest category feel more relevant through creative media and content. - Consumer payments & retail
A major consumer payments brand with a big year ahead, including significant new partnerships. The work spans OOH, video, social and digital alongside performance activity, merchant partnerships and major retail moments. - FMCG & food
A well-known fresh Italian food brand, where the challenge is building fame, appetite and mental availability in a competitive FMCG category. Expect a mix of AV/video, social, OOH and retail/shopper activity.
It's a varied mix, so you'll need to enjoy switching between categories and commercial challenges, understanding what drives each business rather than applying the same planning playbook everywhere.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
