Job Description
About the Agency
PHD is a growth-focused media agency driven by innovation and creativity.
Founded in London in 1990, we were the first media agency to offer strategic and creative planning at a time when the industry was about buying cheaply and quickly.
Our founders saw a bright future where smart thinking and clever planning could help brands grow faster than their competitors.
Over the many years that have followed, we have continued to build on this defining ethic — with our evolution shaped by a continual investment in thought leadership. And we continue to ensure that our capability and approach evolve in line with changes in media, data, technology, commerce, society, and legislation.
Role Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Media Planning Executive to join the team working across the 2K Games account. This role will support the development and delivery of integrated media strategies across a portfolio of titles, working across multiple markets, audiences and media channels.
You’ll take ownership of day-to-day media planning and campaign management, build strong relationships with clients and media partners, and contribute to the strategic thinking that shapes upcoming title launches and campaigns.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about media and who enjoys turning audience insights into smart media solutions. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment, bringing a proactive, data-driven mindset and creative approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and account teams to understand marketing objectives, campaign priorities, and target audiences.
- Support the development of integrated media strategies and plans across channels including TV, CTV/BVOD, audio, OOH, and digital.
- Take ownership of day-to-day media planning across multiple 2K titles and campaign phases, managing timelines, budgets, and key deliverables to ensure activity remains aligned with the agreed strategy.
- Conduct market and audience research to uncover media consumption trends, competitor activity, and actionable insights that inform campaign planning.
- Contribute to the development of Strategy Playbooks for 2K’s upcoming titles, using audience and cultural insights to help define the strategic approach and key media opportunities.
- Monitor campaign reporting, pacing, and performance, working with trafficking teams to ensure tag implementation & reporting, identify optimisation opportunities, and address delivery challenges.
- Support post-campaign analysis and reporting, translating performance into clear learnings and actionable recommendations for future 2K campaigns.
- Serve as a key day-to-day client contact, building trusted relationships and communicating media recommendations, campaign updates, and performance insights through meetings and presentations.
- Build strong relationships with media owners, supporting partner briefs and proposal evaluations while identifying relevant innovations, opportunities, and added value for 2K campaigns.
- Maintain oversight of campaign budgets and financial processes, ensuring accurate and timely client billing.
- Stay up to date with developments across gaming, entertainment, technology, and the wider media landscape, bringing relevant trends and opportunities back to the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
