The Project

Our transportation team is growing and we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our team in Manchester.

You’ll be Responsible for:

  • Providing strategic direction, supporting effective planning, scheduling, and delivery across projects and tenders.
  • Supporting business strategy, commercial negotiations, and sustainable long-term performance, upholding Mace values.
  • Fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation, building effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Directing planning and scheduling activities, applying EVM, project controls methodologies, techniques, and tools.
  • Managing and developing planning professionals, ensuring effective service delivery.
  • Influencing clients and stakeholders through clear analysis, recommendations, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborating across teams to achieve project objectives and support proactive carbon reduction and net zero transition.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes in the transport sector.
  • Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
