We are GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company

A leader in digital engineering. We help brands across the globe design and build innovative products, platforms, and digital experiences for the modern world. By integrating experience design, complex engineering, and data expertise - we help our clients imagine what’s possible and accelerate their transition into tomorrow’s digital businesses.

At GlobalLogic, we have a strong track record of successfully delivering ground-breaking Cloud, Data & Digital Transformation programmes and we have an international reach working with a wide variety of projects and customers. Our approach enables companies to “build the exceptional” and be fit for purpose in the 21st century.

We are seeking to hire experienced Platform Engineers into our Platform Engineering Practice to technically consult for our clients' solutions.

About the role:

The Senior Platform Engineer is a key builder of the central platform that all software engineering teams consume to accelerate delivery and reduce friction. They design, implement, and maintain the platform’s components - CI/CD templates, AI agent configurations, golden path tooling, reference patterns - and ship them as products: discoverable, self-service, instrumented for adoption, and tuned to the real workflows of the engineers using them.

You will be hands on in projects to provide technical guidance and validation to the team and be responsible for stakeholder management, building client relationships and identifying new opportunities.

  • Design and build reusable CI/CD templates, pipeline components, and infrastructure patterns.
  • Develop Claude Code (or equivalent agentic CLI tooling) skills, subagents, and MCP servers that become the standard AI tooling distributed to all client teams.
  • Implement golden path templates and maintain and evolve how platform assets reach Engineering teams.
  • Co-develop shared infrastructure components with federated platform teams, working within their governance and standards frameworks.
  • Respond to feedback from delivery squads and treat consuming engineers as customers.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in design reviews.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About you (ideally):

  • Strong software and platform engineering skills with production experience building developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Claude Code (or equivalent agentic CLI tooling - Cursor, Codex CLI, Cline, Aider): writing custom skills, building subagent systems, implementing MCP servers, and authoring AGENTS.md/CLAUDE.md context files.
  • Platform-as-a-product mindset: builds reusable assets with their consumers in mind, prioritises discoverability and self-service, and validates designs against real adoption rather than assumed need.
  • Deep hands-on experience with GitLab CI; transferable expertise from GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps also welcome - not just using these, but building reusable components and templates for others.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS).
  • Understanding of AI-native SDLC practices and how to encode them into platform tooling (automated quality gates, agent-triggered workflows, prompt-aware build steps).
  • Experience building and publishing reusable packages, templates, or internal libraries - with proper versioning, documentation, and consumption patterns.
  • Strong understanding of security-first engineering.
  • Ability to work autonomously on complex technical problems while collaborating closely with the team on shared standards.
