Job Description

Team Overview
The DevOps team sits within Engineering and will consist of two DevOps Engineers in total and is responsible for supporting secure, reliable, and scalable engineering delivery across the business.
The team supports four development teams as well as the AI team for deployment and infrastructure needs. It also works closely with the Infrastructure and SecOps teams to maintain services, improve operational resilience, and ensure engineering environments remain secure, stable, and effective.

Job Overview
The Senior Platform Engineer plays an important role within the Engineering team and the wider business by enabling safe, reliable, and efficient software delivery in a regulated environment. This role is central to the ongoing operation and improvement of CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, observability, and engineering platform support.

The role works closely with peers in Engineering, technical leads, solution architects, test managers, the AI team, Infrastructure, and SecOps. It is important to both day-to-day delivery and longer-term improvement of engineering practices, helping teams release software more effectively while maintaining strong standards for security, quality, operational control, and cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines across products and teams.
  • Lead software deployment, release automation, and environment management in Azure.
  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code approaches, including Terraform modules where appropriate.
  • Provide DevOps support to four development teams and the AI team for deployment and infrastructure needs.
  • Support the PSS team when needed on platform, deployment, and operational issues within DevOps scope.
  • Lead, support, and drive the further development, rollout, and adoption of the Internal Developer Platform (IDP), helping shape shared tooling, templates, and engineering standards across teams.
  • Monitor platform health, identify issues early, and support operational incident resolution within DevOps scope.
  • Prepare and demonstrate cloud architectural designs for new resources and platform changes.
  • Investigate production incidents within DevOps scope, identify root cause, and drive resolution and improvement actions.
  • Track release dates, gather feedback from technical leads, and help ensure deployments are smooth, secure, and automated with appropriate approval checks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
