Build technology that has an impact far beyond the organisation you work for.
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing engineering environment working on some of the UK’s most important digital programmes. You’ll be helping design and evolve the platforms behind public services used by millions, tackling large-scale technical challenges while working with modern cloud and DevOps practices.
We’re looking for Platform and DevOps Engineers who enjoy having ownership of technical problems rather than simply keeping existing systems running. You’ll be involved in building cloud platforms, automating infrastructure, improving deployment processes and creating reliable foundations that allow engineering teams to deliver faster and more effectively.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The technology is modern and varied, with AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, Kubernetes and configuration management forming a core part of the environment. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers in collaborative teams, with plenty of opportunity to contribute ideas, influence technical decisions and develop your expertise. The scale of the programmes means you’ll encounter problems that require genuine engineering thinking, from improving resilience and scalability to modernising platforms and adopting new cloud technologies.
There’s also a strong focus on professional development, with an unlimited training budget on offer. You will have access to challenging projects, experienced colleagues and an environment where learning, experimentation and continuous improvement are encouraged.

Most importantly, you’ll be able to see the wider impact of what you build. Rather than working on another internal platform with limited reach, your engineering work will help underpin digital services that people across the UK depend on.
If you’re an engineer who wants technically interesting work, genuine ownership and the opportunity to build platforms that matter, this is a role worth exploring.
