Senior Platform Engineer | Azure | Terraform | Kubernetes | GitLab | Buy-Side | Central London Hybrid 3 days per week | £105,000-£110,000 + bonus + benefits

Method Resourcing are proud to be partnered with a highly respected wealth management organisation as they continue investing in their cloud and platform engineering capabilities.

This is an opportunity for a senior, hands-on Platform Engineer to join a growing technology function and play a key role in building, automating, and supporting the cloud platforms that underpin application delivery across the business.

The Role

This role sits within the Platform & Infrastructure team and combines cloud engineering, automation, platform reliability, and operational ownership.

You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining Azure-based infrastructure, improving delivery pipelines, and helping technology teams adopt modern cloud-native practices. The role is highly collaborative, working closely with developers, architects, and infrastructure specialists to create scalable and secure platforms that support long-term business growth.

Beyond day-to-day delivery, you'll help establish platform standards, define reusable patterns, review technical designs, and ensure new services can be transitioned safely into production support.

Skills & Experience We Are Looking For

  • Senior-level experience within Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or DevOps
  • Strong hands-on Azure experience across compute, storage, networking, identity, and cloud security
  • Terraform experience and a strong Infrastructure as Code mindset
  • Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar tooling
  • Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm experience
  • Understanding of GitOps approaches and modern deployment practices
  • Monitoring and observability experience using tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Go
  • Ability to balance platform delivery with security, governance, operational support, and compliance requirements
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions
