Senior Platform Engineer
London, hybrid, one day a week onsite
Up to £90,000 + 10% cash benefit + 10% pension + bonus
We’re recruiting a Senior Platform Engineer with hands on Azure, Kubernetes and Terraform experience for a major financial services organisation in London. You’ll design, build and maintain cloud platforms, supporting a significant digital transformation programme while keeping existing services secure, reliable and available. This is a senior engineering role combining practical delivery with responsibility for technical decisions and improvements, working closely with engineering teams and stakeholders across the UK and India.

The Role
- Design, build and improve secure, scalable and highly available Azure platforms.
- Support platform changes while maintaining existing services.
- Improve deployment pipelines, automation and monitoring.
- Contribute to technical decisions, review code and designs, and improve engineering practices.
- Take ownership of platform issues and work across teams to resolve them.
Requirements
- Hands on Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes and Terraform experience.
- Senior level experience designing, delivering and operating cloud platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation and monitoring.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security, microservices and containerisation.
- Confidence making technical decisions and taking ownership of delivery and operational issues.
- Clear communication and experience working with engineering colleagues and stakeholders.
- MongoDB and financial services experience are desirable.
