Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Senior Platform Engineer

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and operate the foundational services that enable Chainalysis engineers to deliver and run software safely. You will own complex technical work from inception through production, influence platform standards and roadmaps, and help create systems that are highly available, observable, secure, and easy for other engineers to use.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Design, operate, and continuously improve highly available platform services, including managed Kubernetes clusters, Kafka, CI/CD systems, artifact management, and related shared infrastructure
  • Build secure, scalable infrastructure across AWS and other cloud environments using infrastructure as code and repeatable automation
  • Improve production reliability through well-defined SLOs, graceful degradation, self-healing, automated recovery, and effective incident response
  • Create self-service workflows and platform abstractions that reduce cognitive load and help R&D teams ship and operate software more effectively
  • Partner with Information Security, Cost Optimization, and engineering teams to strengthen controls, improve cloud efficiency, influence technical direction, and contribute to the platform roadmap

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • Deep experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting production infrastructure in AWS, including services such as IAM, EC2, EKS, RDS, MSK, S3, Lambda, VPC, and networking
  • Experience administering and scaling multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters and streaming platforms such as Kafka in production, including upgrades, workload isolation, reliability, security, and incident response
  • Experience building and maintaining infrastructure as code, pipeline-as-code, containerization, and cloud-native systems using tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, or Kubernetes
  • Experience designing observability for production systems and tuning relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL, using tools such as Datadog or Prometheus
  • Strong software-engineering or scripting skills in one or more languages such as Python, Go, Java, Scala, or shell, plus a track record of owning ambiguous cross-functional problems and communicating tradeoffs clearly

Technologies we use:

  • AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Backstage, Datadog, Prometheus, PostgreSQL, and Python

AI at Chainalysis

AI is not a feature at Chainalysis - it is a new way of working. One that turns instructions into work done, and helps us move faster than the threats we're built to counter, and we expect our employees to take ownership of the output and ensure quality. As the world's most trusted blockchain analytics platform, Chainalysis sits at a rare intersection of proprietary data, regulatory relationships and crypto expertise that makes it uniquely placed to shape and lead the next era of AI-driven intelligence - and we expect everyone here, regardless of role, to be an active part of it.

AI fluency is tied directly to how we measure performance and how we plan to win. There is no substitute for your own curiosity. We provide the tools, workflows, and space to experiment - but the expectation is that you develop these capabilities yourself, bring ideas, and collaborate across teams to reinvent the way work gets done. We are not using AI to do less. We are using it to do what was never possible before.
