Platform Engineer (HPC & AWS)

Contract Inside IR35 | London based (3 days onsite)

I'm currently looking for an experienced Engineer (HPC Platform) to support the ongoing development, optimisation, and operation of a High Performance Computing (HPC) environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong infrastructure background who enjoys automation, performance optimisation, and working across hybrid on-premises and AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance HPC infrastructure and storage services.
  • Optimise infrastructure and application performance for scalability and efficiency.
  • Develop automation tooling to streamline deployment and operations.
  • Support hybrid infrastructure, including AWS integration.
  • Evaluate and improve existing infrastructure for reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver tested, documented, production-ready infrastructure changes in collaboration with engineering teams.

Experience Required

  • Strong Linux administration experience.
  • HPC or large-scale infrastructure environments.
  • AWS and hybrid cloud experience.
  • Infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
  • Python and/or Bash scripting.
  • Performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Storage technologies and Infrastructure as Code experience are advantageous.
