Senior Platform Engineer, Azure

Central London, near Bank station

Hybrid, 4 days remote

Permanent: £90-£110k + Benefits

A financial institution is building its Azure platform and moving from on-premises infrastructure to cloud. The team needs a Senior Platform Engineer who has been involved at the beginning of a platform build or migration, taken ownership of delivery, and helped move the work forward.

The Role

  • Build and develop the platform as part of a relatively new team.
  • Help migrate infrastructure and services from on-premises to cloud.
  • Take technical ownership of platform development and migration work.
  • Use Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, containerisation, and orchestration in platform delivery.
  • Maintain service availability, fault tolerance, and business continuity during change.
  • Apply practical engineering judgment to progress the transformation.

  • Strong, hands-on Azure platform and infrastructure experience.
  • Experience building a platform from its early stages.
  • On-premises to Azure cloud migration experience.
  • Terraform, Kubernetes, containerisation, and orchestration.
  • Experience keeping systems resilient and services running during platform change.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Financial services experience is useful, but is not required.
