We Are Skyral
We believe every decision maker can be empowered by technology. Skyral combines AI, leading edge simulation technology and world class expertise to transform the decision making experience. Our products and services enable faster and more confident decisions in a complex, unforgiving world. We deploy practical, intuitive and efficient solutions to governments and enterprises, delivering outstanding outcomes at the speed of relevance.
What We Do
The Production Engineering team owns the foundation of Skyral’s Core platform, providing services and infrastructure to deploy our platform in any environment: whether on the public cloud or a highly secure air-gapped network. We provide a reliable base for other engineering teams to build customer solutions on top of.
Our team also owns the software delivery lifecycle at Skyral, reducing friction for other engineers by providing tooling, setting patterns and creating automations.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Owning complex platform initiatives end to end, from extending our Core platform to supporting customer solutions.
- Setting company-wide technical direction, shaping our roadmap and building golden paths engineers enjoy following.
- Mentoring engineers across the company, lifting the bar through review, pairing and sharing knowledge.
- Improving our developer tooling and automation (reusable GitHub Actions, GitOps workflows, Terraform modules, Backstage and more) to make every engineer more productive.
- Running and maintaining reusable components that package common open-source tools (e.g. Grafana, Istio, CloudNativePG) for teams to deploy in any environment.
- Baking security into the platform through secure-by-default infrastructure, compliance audits and close work with our security engineer.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
