As we continue to push the boundaries of innovation and redefine what's possible in the maritime industry, we're looking for exceptional talent to join our fast-growing team.
About the Role
Ocean Infinity is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help build, operate, and evolve the systems, tooling, and infrastructure that support our software delivery and platform operations.
In this role, you'll be taking ownership of key platform components and contribute to the foundations that enable engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate services reliably at scale. You'll work on improving internal tooling, strengthening observability and operational practices, and ensuring teams have the self-service capabilities required to confidently manage their services.
You'll report to the Core Engineering Lead and collaborate closely with teams across the organization, providing hands-on technical support, architectural input, and practical solutions that strengthen the company's core engineering platform.
What You Will Do! π
- Design and evolve core platform systems: Contribute to architecture & implementation strategy of cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and internal tooling foundations that support the operations across the organization.
- Drive high-impact platform improvements: Own and deliver enhancements across infrastructure, deployments, and automation to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Build for resilience and efficiency: Develop platform capabilities that are secure, fault-tolerant, and easy for product teams to adopt.
- Enhance developer productivity: Create internal tools, services, and workflows that aim to reduce friction and help engineers build, test, and deploy faster and smoother.
- Strengthen observability and operations: Improve monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure visibility across environments and support fast, effective incident response.
- Solve complex technical challenges: Investigate and resolve issues across distributed systems, cloud services, networking, and Kubernetes β and translate findings into measurable improvements.
- Collaborate across teams: Work closely with engineering and product teams to support new features, troubleshoot integration issues, and ensure services run reliably on the platform.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies: Stay current with cloud-native and DevOps ecosystems β bringing in tools and approaches that aim to improve delivery speed, reliability, and developer experience.
- Promote platform standards and best practices: Help establish and reinforce patterns that lead to secure, scalable, and well-operated services.

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
