Job Description

Your Role: Senior Platform Engineer

Join our Platform team and help shape the systems that power Global’s technology platforms. Working across cloud infrastructures, CI/CD pipelines, and application hosting environments, you’ll develop and improve scalable, reliable solutions that support business-critical systems across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Engineering & Automation: Support, maintain, and enhance our application hosting and build platforms across AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GitHub. Develop automation and tooling using technologies such as Python, Java/Groovy, Go, and Terraform.
  • Technical Leadership & Best Practice: Lead code reviews and champion engineering best practices across security, performance, maintainability, and testing. Contribute to technical standards and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Operational Excellence & Collaboration: Maintain reliable production environments, improve observability and monitoring systems, and respond to proactive and reactive support alerts. Work collaboratively across the Technology department while mentoring and supporting other engineers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
