Company Description
TOPdesk has spent 30 years helping service teams work better — starting in IT service management and growing into enterprise service management. We're now entering a new phase: building AI capabilities into the product and telling one, bigger platform story. That shift needs someone to own it.
Job Description
We're hiring a Platform PMM to own the story, ICP, and positioning for the overall TOPdesk product. As we add AI capabilities and expand from ITSM into broader enterprise service management, our story needs to evolve. Customers buy an answer to a problem, and this role exists to build that answer: a positioning framework and ICP definition sharp enough to guide every launch, campaign, and sales conversation for the next chapter of the company.
You'll report to the Director of Product & Customer Marketing and work closely with Product, Sales, and the wider marketing team. TOPdesk's PMM function is still being built so this is an opportunity to set the standard for what good looks like here and create best practices.
What you'll do
- Define and maintain TOPdesk's overall product positioning and ICP, grounded in customer pain points rather than feature lists.
- Build the platform narrative that ties ITSM, ESM, and AI capabilities into one coherent story, taking competitor moves, data and market trends into account.
- Partner with Product to translate innovation into positioning that lands in the market.
- Support the quarterly launch rhythm: turn each release into a moment that reinforces the bigger platform story, not a standalone announcement.
- Brief and align Sales & Customer Success (through Enablement), Customer Marketing, and Analyst Relations on positioning so the story is consistent wherever a customer or prospect hears it.
- Validate positioning and ICP against real signal: win/loss patterns, customer conversations, analyst feedback, and competitive movement.
- Influence without authority — you'll need buy-in from Product, Sales, and leadership, not a mandate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Qualifications

- 5+ years in product marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS.
- A track record of owning positioning or narrative for a product or platform, not just launch execution.
- Experience building or sharpening an ICP from evidence, not assumption.
- Comfort operating at both altitude — company-wide narrative — and in the detail of a single launch brief.
- Strong stakeholder influence. You've moved a room of skeptics before.
