Job Description

We are pleased to confirm that we have a current vacancy for a Senior Project Manager to join our operations team in our Midlands office.

The successful candidate will provide consistent high-quality support and assistance to the Operations Director. The main duties within this position include:

  • Assisting the Operations Director in the delivery of multiple projects across the Midlands
  • Liaising with clients
  • Managing project teams
  • Visiting sites to survey potential projects
  • Organising site operatives
  • Overseeing project programmes
  • Ensuring health and safety and quality control

This is a demanding role requiring excellent organisational and communication skills and an ability to work within a busy environment. A flexible approach is key, as well as being assertive and using initiative.

The role will include working out of our Northampton office overseeing projects within approximately a 60-mile radius. {Subject to secured works locations}

Typical working week includes one day office-based for contractor’s progress meeting with approximately four days site-based.

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Managing both small works and projects up to £500k
  • Generating daily / weekly project updates
  • Managing trades and subcontractors
  • Leading the project team
  • Liaising with clients during live site
  • Tracking and monitoring client variations
  • Calling off materials based on project program
  • Programming construction works
  • Reviewing drawings of all disciplines
  • Surveying small work and raising quotes and CVR’s
  • Taking responsibility for H&S on site – reviewing and implementing RAMS/Toolbox talks, etc.

Additional Requirements:

  • Good organisation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • High level of IT ability. (Word / Email / Excel / Microsoft Projects)

  • NVQ Level 6 construction management
  • CSCS black manager’s card
  • SSSTS/SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • Asbestos Awareness
