A leading higher education institution is looking to appoint a Senior Portfolio Support Officer to join its central Change & Transformation function.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PMO / Portfolio Support professional to play a key role in supporting the effective delivery of a complex strategic change portfolio.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of PMO, you will provide high-quality portfolio coordination and support across a broad range of strategic change initiatives.
You will help ensure that robust governance, assurance and quality standards are consistently applied across the portfolio, while providing project and programme teams with the structure, information and support they need to deliver effectively.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing effective portfolio and PMO administration and coordination.
- Maintaining accurate, timely and audit-ready portfolio documentation and data.
- Supporting portfolio governance, reporting and assurance processes.
- Ensuring consistent application of PMO standards, processes and quality controls.
- Coordinating information across projects, programmes and stakeholders.
- Supporting effective portfolio-level reporting and management information.
- Helping ensure project and programme teams have the information and processes required to support successful delivery.
- Acting as a central point of coordination across a complex and dynamic change environment.

About You
You will be a highly organised and proactive PMO professional with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work across multiple projects and priorities.
You will ideally have experience of working within a PMO, portfolio, programme or change environment, with a strong understanding of governance, reporting, documentation and portfolio processes.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Strong PMO / portfolio coordination experience.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy.
- Experience supporting governance and assurance processes.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a complex environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively with project and programme teams.
