Band 6 Podiatrist
We are looking for a Band 6 Podiatrist to join our growing dynamic team at Guy's & St. Thomas' Hospital. These posts are hospital based at Guys and St Thomas'.
Role Summary
The post will involve wound care management and treatment of the high risk foot. The suitable candidate should be self-motivated and have a broad range of post-graduate clinical experience.
- Patient care takes place in both out and in-patient setting.
- You will be working within a team and must have good communication skills.
- There will be supervision and mentoring from colleagues for continual CPD. In addition, regular team meeting updates on Department and Trust positions.
- Candidate will be managing a high risk caseload and working closely within a multi-disciplinary team and using a range of advanced wound techniques in both in-patient and out-patient settings. There will be a 2-day rotational element for treating MSK patients.
- Candidate must be highly motivated and should be able to cope with clinical emergencies in a pressurised environment.
- You will be supervising junior staff and be involved in teaching, taking part in audit / research.
