Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst, based in EU/UK, to lead policy analysis and engagement to unlock investment in climate resilience. The role includes a mix of research and analytical work, coordination of policy work taking place across the organization, and engagement with policymakers and key stakeholders globally.
The role is ideal for a candidate looking to grow and support the expansion of the team, including through contributing to project proposals and supporting the design of new work. Conditional on the team’s growth, this is a role that could also include management of research assistants.
Climate Bonds Initiative (Climate Bonds) is an international not-for-profit organisation working to mobilise global capital for climate action. The organisation promotes investment in projects and assets needed for a rapid transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy.
The Senior Analyst will:
- Lead and develop analysis on real economy and financial policy to drive the global net zero and resilient transition and continue to develop expertise in those sectors. This includes:
- Proactively monitoring and analysis of critical policy initiatives in Climate Bonds strategic markets;
- Drafting of reports, briefings, presentations, blogs, etc.
- Draft briefings for Climate Bonds CEO and senior executives on relevant topics
- Act as a point of contact, expertise and thought leadership on those topics for the Global Policy Team, acting as a representative for the team with all regional and project teams, coordinating work, enabling consistency and quality and fostering communications and learnings. This also includes:
- Contributing to management of Climate Bonds’ internal cross-team policy network of analysts to help foster coherence and quality of policy outputs.
- Support Climate Bonds work in advocacy and influence work on the topics listed above. Representing the organization externally.
- Maintain and regularly engage with network of stakeholders, internally and externally to support advocacy, influence work, and collaborate. This should be based on a good understanding of the key stakeholders in the net zero transition in key sectors, both at global (e.g. G20, SFWG, G7, etc) and regional and national levels (e.g. national policy-makers, regulators).
- Contribute to the team’s growth through identifying opportunities, contributing to project proposals, and pitching new ideas.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
