Position Summary
The Senior Portfolio Analyst (PA) acts as a subject matter resource for assigned T. Rowe Price investment strategies and franchises. The Senior PA is primarily responsible for analyzing investment portfolios and capabilities, supporting the commercial process around client queries and RfPs, and developing institutional-level portfolio analysis, messaging, and content to inform key stakeholders.
For this position, the Senior PA will focus on providing support around the T. Rowe Price Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) approach, and the way it is embedded into the investment process. They will demonstrate expertise on broader ESG topics such as carbon footprint, climate transition, human rights, and other topical ESG subjects. They will also be aware of, and have an understanding of, the regulatory landscape.
The Senior PA will partner with a team of seasoned Investment Strategists (IS), the investment research Responsible Investing (RI) team, and the Corporate Governance team. They will play a key role in ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity of investment messaging around RfPs linked to new opportunities as well as DDQs for existing mandates. The role requires adaptability, strong execution and organizational skills, curiosity about data sources, and a commitment to building investment and strategy-specific knowledge over time.

The Senior PA is expected to proactively leverage AI-enabled tools and workflows for analysis, data aggregation, content generation, comparison, and synthesis activities, while retaining responsibility for validation, interpretation, judgment, and quality control.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Franchise and General Support
- Support the full sales cycle (obtaining consultant ratings, prospecting, sales meeting preparation, real-time sales and client service meeting follow-up, client retention) on queries related to T. Rowe Price Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) approach
- Generate quality answers to support DDQs, RFPs and written commentaries; conduct portfolio analysis incorporating the research of the Responsible Investing and Corporate Governance teams, portfolio managers and Investment Strategists.
- Lead the production of quarterly strategy updates for both internal and external purposes, such as quarterly investment letters and standard presentations.
- Execute responsibilities using AI-enabled analytics and automation to aggregate data, perform recurring analysis, identify comparisons, synthesize information, and generate initial analytical outputs, subject to appropriate human review
- Over time, participate in the production of forward thinking ESG studies in collaboration with other stakeholders

Provide Leverage to Other Investment Professionals:
- Act as an investment resource for content creation, including custom presentations, exhibits, and analysis; identify and employ opportunities to leverage AI to improve speed, consistency, scalability, and quality of outputs.
- Provide investment support for sales and marketing collateral, including development, review, and sign-off responsibilities.
- Help with the development of education, onboarding, and training modules to build internal understanding of the T. Rowe Price Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) approach
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years Asset Management experience in a related field
- Passion for Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) issues
- Proven experience using ESG analytical resources such as Sustainalytics and MSCI ESG Ratings
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, responsible, with excellent attention to detail
- Can lead and drive analytical projects to successful conclusions
Preferred:
- Charter Financial Analyst Accreditation (CFA) or currently working towards the CFA
- Demonstrated interest in and comfort with using AI-enabled tools
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
