Senior Portfolio & Change Manager
We're looking for an experienced and influential Senior Portfolio & Change Manager to join Group IT at Zellis. This is an exciting opportunity for a portfolio, PMO or change professional who thrives on bringing clarity, focus and momentum to complex technology portfolios.
As our Senior Portfolio & Change Manager, you'll own the Group IT portfolio, demand management, PMO and change governance capability, ensuring technology investments are prioritised, governed and aligned to business outcomes. You'll play a critical role in helping technology and business leaders make informed decisions about what to start, stop, sequence and accelerate, creating visibility and accountability across a diverse portfolio of strategic initiatives.
Reporting to the Director of IT Strategy & Architecture, you'll work across Zellis, Moorepay and Benifex, partnering with senior stakeholders to establish effective portfolio governance, improve delivery confidence and ensure technology change delivers measurable business value.
What you'll be doing
Portfolio Management & Prioritisation
- Own and evolve the Group IT portfolio management framework, ensuring demand, delivery and investment decisions are aligned to strategic priorities.
- Lead demand intake, prioritisation, sequencing and capacity-aware planning across the technology portfolio.
- Ensure portfolio choices balance business value, risk, capacity and strategic alignment.
PMO & Governance Leadership
- Establish and operate proportionate PMO standards, governance frameworks and reporting processes.
- Develop governance rhythms and escalation routes that enable effective oversight without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Support leadership forums with high-quality reporting and decision-making insight.
Delivery Assurance & Portfolio Oversight
- Provide portfolio-level assurance across strategic technology initiatives.
- Identify delivery risks, confidence issues, interdependencies and resource pressures that require leadership attention.
- Drive improvements in RAID management, action tracking and issue resolution across delivery teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
