Preferred Experience

• Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, operations or supply chain environment.
• Experience reporting on production, quality, inventory, yield, planning, cycle time or operational efficiency metrics.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, semantic modelling, star-schema design and Power BI performance optimisation.
• Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with ERP, MES, PLM and other manufacturing business systems.
• Experience with Power BI governance, workspace administration, deployment pipelines and row-level security.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Analysis Services, Azure data services or modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience supporting self-service analytics and delivering end-user training.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for manufacturing, operations, quality, and business performance.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into visual reports.
• Apply data visualization principles to create clear, user-friendly reports and dashboards.
• Utilize Power BI features to enhance usability and provide insights.
• Review and optimize existing reports for simplicity, performance, and usability.
• Provide training and guidance to users on effective utilization of Power BI tools.
• Design and maintain efficient, scalable, and maintainable Power BI datasets and semantic models.
• Collaborate with data teams and business system owners to ensure data quality and governance.
• Manage local Power BI assets, including reports, dashboards, and datasets, adhering to standards.
• Support ongoing user support, performance monitoring, and improvement of reporting systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Strong practical knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Service.
• Experience in data modeling, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations.
• Ability to gather and translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions.
• Understanding of data visualization principles and report usability.
• Experience working with diverse data sources and contextualizing business data.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively.
• Familiarity with manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain environments is preferred.
