Weโre looking for a highly experienced Power BI SME / Developer to design, develop and support enterprise-scale reporting and semantic modelling solutions within a complex data environment.
This is a technically hands-on role requiring significantly more than dashboard development, with a strong focus on semantic model architecture, advanced DAX, automated refresh, partitioning and performance optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise Power BI reporting solutions
- Build and optimise large-scale semantic models
- Develop advanced DAX, calculation groups and optimisation techniques
- Implement Incremental Refresh and dataset partitioning
- Optimise large datasets, refresh processes and query performance
- Develop Python automation for semantic model refreshes
- Implement RLS, governance and access controls
- Build CI/CD and deployment automation for Power BI
- Troubleshoot gateway, refresh and performance issues

- Expert Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service
- Advanced DAX and semantic modelling
- Strong SQL and dimensional modelling
- VertiPaq, composite models, aggregations and query optimisation
- Incremental Refresh and partitioning
- XMLA, Tabular Editor & DAX Studio
- Strong Python scripting
- PowerShell and Power BI REST APIs
- CI/CD / DevOps
- Power BI Premium and/or Microsoft Fabric

Please note: This role requires 4 days per week onsite in London and will operate Inside IR35.
