We’re supporting a specialist engineering business developing advanced power electronics technology for high-performance electrification applications.

They are looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and validation of electronic hardware used within next-generation power conversion systems.

As Senior Hardware Engineer, you’ll be involved in schematic design, hardware development, prototype testing, validation, debugging, and production support. You’ll work closely with software, systems, test, and mechanical engineers to ensure products are delivered successfully from concept through to release.

The role would suit someone who enjoys hands-on hardware engineering and wants exposure across the full product lifecycle rather than being focused on a single area of development.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven experience in electronic hardware design, ideally within power electronics, high-voltage systems, electrification, automotive, or industrial environments
  • Schematic capture and circuit design experience, including analogue, digital, control, or interface circuitry
  • Experience supporting PCB development, prototype bring-up, testing, validation, or debugging
  • Understanding of power conversion systems, high-voltage electronics, gate drives, sensing, protection, or control hardware
  • Awareness of design for manufacture, EMC, tolerance analysis, FMEA, DFT, or production release processes
  • Ability to work closely with software, systems, mechanical, test, manufacturing, and supplier teams
