Senior Power Platform Developer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Power Platform Developer within a busy and successful IT team. The role sits within IT Development, working with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver enterprise-scale automation and application solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform. This is a senior role combining hands-on technical delivery with leadership, governance, and mentoring responsibilities.

This is a permanent role based in our Bristol office.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and release of complex solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to analyse requirements and design scalable, efficient solutions
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and code review to developers within the team
  • Define and enforce development standards, best practices, and governance across Power Platform solutions
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to internal change management procedures, security standards, and data governance policies
  • Design and implement integrations with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and third-party systems
  • Work as part of a self-managing Agile team following Scrum methodology, contributing to planning, estimation, and delivery
  • Develop and maintain documentation to required standards and ensure effective handover to support teams
  • Provide high-level support and troubleshooting for business-critical applications
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, tooling, and platform capability

The Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse
  • Strong experience delivering enterprise-grade solutions and leading technical design
  • Experience working with integrations, APIs, and Azure services
  • Strong understanding of governance, security, and environment strategy within Power Platform
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and/or C#
  • Experience working within Agile (Scrum) teams and Azure DevOps
  • Strong analytical, methodical, and problem-solving approach
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior developers

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
  • Experience with Power BI and reporting solutions
  • Experience leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, generative AI, or intelligent agents to enhance productivity, automation, and user experience
  • Experience in legal or professional services environments
