Senior Power Platform Engineer

£55,000 - £62,000 plus great benefits (Work level 5)

Hybrid working, splitting your time between working from home, and coming into our Manchester city centre office

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Power Platform Engineer to join our Technology team. In this role, you’ll design, develop and maintain innovative solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, helping colleagues across Co-op work more efficiently through automation, improved processes and engaging digital experiences. You’ll work across Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio and Power Automate Desktop, including RPA-led automation where desktop or legacy application integration is needed.

Why this role matters

As a Senior Power Platform Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping how low-code, automation and AI-enabled technologies are used across Co-op. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll deliver scalable, secure and user-focused solutions that improve the colleague experience, support business priorities and help drive our digital transformation. This will include building Power Platform solutions, developing intelligent automation through Copilot Studio, and using Power Automate Desktop where RPA can help streamline manual or repetitive processes.

What you'll do

  • Design scalable Power Platform solutions that meet business needs, translating requirements into effective architectures, workflows, data models and automation patterns.
  • Build and customise canvas and model-driven Power Apps, creating intuitive user experiences and seamless integrations with enterprise data sources.
  • Develop and maintain Power Automate cloud flows and business process automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and streamline business processes.
  • Design, build and support Copilot Studio agents that deliver colleague self-service, guided experiences and AI-enabled automation across the organisation.
  • Integrate Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, Microsoft 365 services, APIs and enterprise systems to create end-to-end business solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation and low-code technologies to improve colleague productivity, simplify processes and enhance business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain Power Automate Desktop solutions where RPA is the most effective option for repetitive tasks or integration with legacy and desktop-based applications.
  • Provide support across the Power Platform ecosystem, troubleshooting issues and resolving technical challenges across apps, automations, agents and integrations.
  • Help define and promote governance, best practices and guardrails for Power Platform, Copilot Studio and automation development across Co-op.
  • Provide technical coaching and work closely with engineers, citizen developers and stakeholders to support successful delivery and capability growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
