We are particularly interested in speaking with engineers who have gained experience within a UK DNO, IDNO, Network Operator, or System Operator environment, and have a strong understanding of network constraints, hosting capacity, and the optimisation of existing grid infrastructure.
Key Requirements
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in power system modelling, analysis, and simulation within transmission or distribution networks.
- Strong proficiency with industry-standard simulation tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS®E, PSCAD, or CYME.
- Solid understanding of power system fundamentals, including protection systems, fault studies, stability analysis, harmonics, and grid code compliance.
- Experience translating customer, operational, or network requirements into technical models, studies, and engineering recommendations.
- Exposure to cloud-based software platforms (e.g. Azure or AWS) would be advantageous, although not essential.
- Genuine enthusiasm for emerging technologies and an interest in how software, data analytics, digital twins, and AI can transform power system planning and operations.
