Role Overview
You will own a portfolio of our largest paid media accounts and run them yourself, end to end: strategy, build, optimisation, measurement, reporting and the client relationship.
You will have hands-on experience of every major ad platform: Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta and LinkedIn, including Merchant Center and product feeds across all three shopping platforms, and you will be confident in conversion tracking, GA4 and Google Tag Manager. Our clients split between e-commerce brands selling through Shopping feeds and lead generation businesses. Alongside your portfolio, you will help prepare and attend new business pitches and lead the onboarding of the clients we win.
Key Responsibilities
Client Ownership
- Own a portfolio of retained accounts end to end, including our largest spending clients.
- Set account objectives against each client's commercial targets and report against them.
- Run your own client calls, monthly reports and quarterly reviews.
- Review accounts proactively, find the root cause of any issue and fix it.
- Work with our Client Services and SEO teams where a client has more than one service with us.
Paid Search
- Manage Google Ads across Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Display and Video, and Microsoft Advertising including imports.
- Build and maintain account structure, match types and negative keywords, including checking where shared lists are applied.
- Choose bid strategies and set targets, judging whether an account has the conversion volume to support them.
- Diagnose Quality Score at component level, and use auction insights to separate budget-limited from rank-limited campaigns.
- Carry out keyword research at scale, and analyse search terms to control wasted spend.
- Write and manage ad copy and assets across responsive search ads, Performance Max and display.
- Use Google Ads Editor and Microsoft Advertising Editor for bulk changes.
- Resolve ad and account disapprovals and policy issues.
Shopping and Product Feeds
- Manage Google Merchant Center, including primary and supplemental feeds, feed rules, fetch scheduling, diagnostics and disapprovals.
- Maintain product data quality (GTINs, categories, identifiers, pricing, energy labels) and keep availability and stock accurate.
- Manage Microsoft Merchant Center and Meta's catalogue and Commerce Manager, including where each differs from Google.
- Work with clients' developers and stock systems on how a feed is generated.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Paid Social
- Manage Meta and Instagram campaigns: objectives, Advantage+, audiences and placements.
- Structure budgets around the learning phase, and monitor creative fatigue, frequency and audience exhaustion.

- Implement and maintain the Meta pixel and Conversions API, including event matching and deduplication.
- Write ad copy for paid social and brief our designers on creative.

Measurement and Tracking

- Work in GA4 (key events, property configuration, channel groupings) and Google Tag Manager, including server-side where a client runs it.
- Understand consent mode and its effect on reported conversions.
- Set up offline conversion imports and value-based bidding where a client's CRM supports it.
Reporting and Commercial Awareness
- Build and maintain client reporting in Swydo.

New Business and Onboarding

- Act as a second pair of eyes on a colleague's accounts when asked.
- Keep up with platform changes, and maintain the agency's partner badges and certifications.

Essential
- Five or more years of hands-on PPC experience in an agency, running accounts yourself.
- Experience across both e-commerce and lead generation.

- Confidence in front of clients, including senior stakeholders and people who are not marketers.
