Are you a seasoned PR professional looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced agency environment?

We're working with a well-established and highly respected communications agency in the Birmingham area that is looking to add a talented Senior PR Account Manager to its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering impactful campaigns and building strong media relationships.

The Role

As Senior PR Account Manager, you'll take ownership of client accounts, manage media outreach strategies, create compelling content, and play a key role in delivering successful campaigns across multiple sectors.

You'll be confident working directly with senior stakeholders, pitching stories to journalists, managing events, and ensuring exceptional client service in a busy agency setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing PR and communications strategies
  • Building and maintaining strong media relationships
  • Securing high-quality media coverage across regional, national, and trade press
  • Writing engaging press releases, thought leadership articles, features, and campaign content
  • Supporting and managing client events and PR activations
  • Leading client communications and presenting campaign updates
  • Pitching stories and ideas to journalists and key media contacts
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Supporting junior team members where required

About You

  • 5-6+ years' experience within PR, communications, media relations, or journalism
  • Strong track record of securing media coverage and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent content writing and storytelling skills
  • Confident communicator who enjoys speaking with journalists, clients, and senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of digital business and communications
  • Agency experience is highly desirable but not essential
  • Background in journalism would be particularly advantageous
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams
