Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will work closely with our leadership team to develop and execute a proactive media relations strategy, manage day-to-day press activity, and act as the primary point of contact for journalists covering financial technology, regulation, and banking. For specific campaign moments in certain markets, you will brief and manage specialist PR agency partners, ensuring CUBE’s story lands with the right publications and audiences.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role. You will be comfortable operating independently, building relationships from scratch, and thriving in a fast-moving environment where the news agenda moves quickly and credibility with a specialist financial press is everything.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute Cube's global media relations strategy, with a primary focus on UK and US financial, banking and regtech/fintech press
  • Build and maintain strong, direct relationships with key journalists across target publications including the Financial Times, Bloomberg, Risk.net, WSJ, The Banker, American Banker, Waters Technology, Finextra and relevant trade titles
  • Proactively identify and create media opportunities — from funding and product announcements to thought leadership, data stories and regulatory moments
  • Serve as the primary media contact for Cube, managing all inbound press enquiries and coordinating responses with speed and accuracy
  • Brief, manage and hold accountable a specialist US PR agency for campaign-based activity around key milestones
  • Partner with the executive team to develop messaging, prepare spokespeople for media interviews and support leadership profiling
  • Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, briefing documents and reactive statements
  • Monitor the media landscape and regulatory news agenda to identify opportunities and flag reputational risks early
  • Track and report on media coverage, maintaining a clear view of share of voice and coverage quality across target publications
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product and the executive team to align PR activity with broader business priorities

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of PR experience, with significant time spent in financial services, fintech or regtech - either in-house or at a specialist agency
  • Deep understanding of the financial and banking media landscape, with established relationships at key publications in the UK and ideally the US
  • Proven track record of securing high-quality, earned media coverage in tier-one financial and business press
  • Strong writing skills - you can draft a compelling pitch, a clean press release or a crisp briefing document with equal confidence
  • Experience managing or briefing external PR agencies and holding them accountable to outcomes
  • Comfortable operating at pace in a complex, technical environment — you don't need to be a regulatory expert, but you need to be able to translate complexity into clear, credible narratives
  • Self-starter who can own a brief end-to-end without needing significant support or infrastructure around them
  • High integrity and strong news judgement — you know when to push a story and when to hold back

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with or covering regtech, compliance technology or financial data
  • Existing relationships with journalists at Waters Technology, Risk.net, American Banker or The Information's financial technology coverage
  • Experience supporting executive profiling and thought leadership campaigns for C-suite spokespeople
