About the Role
We are looking for a Senior PR Manager – UK to lead PR and communications execution for Xiaomi EV in the UK market.
Working closely with the General Manager, UK, and within the broader European PR strategy, you will be responsible for developing and executing the UK PR plan, building and maintaining relationships with local media, supporting localized PR and communications activities, and contributing to market entry and brand-building initiatives in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
UK PR Execution
- Develop and execute the UK PR plan within the framework of the overall European PR strategy.
- Lead the execution of UK communications initiatives, including product launches, brand activities, media drive events, and other PR projects.
- Plan, execute, and support localized PR and communications activities in the UK market.
UK Media Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with leading UK automotive and technology media, as well as relevant KOLs and influencers across the UK automotive industry.
- Organize local media briefings, interviews, media drive events, and other media engagement activities across the UK.
- Manage the preparation, localization, and distribution of press releases and other media communications materials for the UK market.
Media & Public Sentiment Monitoring and Crisis Support
- Monitor the media and public sentiment landscape in the UK and promptly escalate relevant negative or potentially sensitive developments.
- Support the General Manager, UK, in implementing crisis communications plans and response mechanisms.
- Prepare regular UK media and public sentiment reports, including weekly and monthly updates.

Content Localization & Communications Materials
- Coordinate the localization and adaptation of PR materials to align with British English and the UK market.
- Support the development and review of UK social media content from a PR and communications perspective.
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing, UK, to ensure consistency and alignment between PR and marketing communications.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in automotive PR, communications, or brand communications, including at least 5 years of experience working in the UK market.
- Professional fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong understanding of UK media styles and communications practices.
- Strong understanding of the UK automotive media landscape, including leading automotive media outlets and relevant media practices.
- Demonstrated experience in automotive PR execution, with the ability to independently coordinate and deliver UK market PR projects.
- Strong execution capabilities and cross-cultural communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting PR and communications activities for Chinese brands entering the UK market.
- Established relationships with automotive media or relevant KOLs across the UK.
- Experience in the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry.
