TPF Recruitment, Kent's leading accountancy practice recruitment agency is supporting a fantastic, fast-growing firm of Chartered Accountants based in Rochester in their search for a Senior Practice Accountant to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and progressive accountancy practice that provides a broad range of services to owner-managed businesses across a variety of sectors.

You will work in a general practice capacity, providing accounts and tax services to a diverse client base. As your role develops, you will have the opportunity to build and manage your own portfolio while becoming involved in advisory projects and other value-added services.

  • Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
  • Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
  • Managing relationships with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses
  • Liaising with clients and responding to accounting and tax queries
  • Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
  • Assisting with bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounts where required
  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional support and advisory services
  • Working closely with the partners and managers on ad hoc assignments

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
  • Strong accounts preparation and tax experience
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach
  • The ambition to develop your own client portfolio and progress within the firm
