TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established and highly regarded independent Chartered Accountancy practice in Northfleet with the recruitment of a Senior Practice Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and professional firm where you'll work closely with the Partner, taking responsibility for a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and becoming a key member of the team.
The Role
As a Senior Practice Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of general practice work, including:
- Preparation of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
- Corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns
- Bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Liaising directly with clients and providing day-to-day advice
- Supporting the Partner with client relationships and ad hoc projects
- Reviewing work where appropriate and assisting with workflow management

Meeting with clients on a regular basis
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of statutory accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping, and VAT
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a close-knit team
