Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist - Inclusion and Attendance
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Educational Psychologist to join our creative and friendly service at an exciting time in Sheffield.
We are looking to recruit a 0.5 Senior Practitioner EP (Inclusion and attendance) to support the inclusion of pupils who experience difficulties in accessing education across the city. The EP in this role would be responsible for strategic oversight and coordination of the support, as part of a multi-agency team, for pupils who experience challenges around attendance and inclusion, including those who cannot attend school due to emotionally based school non-attendance (EBSNA), exclusion or illness.
We are expanding the number of EPs in the Service, and we have also recruited a substantial team of Assistant Educational Psychologists, to work in partnership with EPs, and other professionals, through collaborative working. We are keen to further develop our consultation model of service delivery and our approach to co-producing assessments through joint working with families, schools and other key education, health and care professionals.
We are a values-driven EP Service with all members of the team participating in a collaborative and innovative leadership model to drive us forward. Keeping children at the heart of everything we do, we are solution-focused, person-centred, inclusive, reflective and committed to ethical practice.
We are committed to increasing diversity in the profession and to developing anti-racist practices.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
