Senior Pre-Sales Consultant, Enterprise Payments
Position Overview
FIS is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Consultant to support Enterprise Payments sales opportunities by acting as a trusted technical advisor to prospective and existing customers. This role is responsible for understanding customer business and technical requirements, designing solution architectures, and demonstrating how FIS Enterprise Payments solutions can address complex business challenges.
The ideal candidate combines deep payments domain expertise with strong technical knowledge and customer-facing consulting skills. They will work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Professional Services, and customer stakeholders to drive successful outcomes throughout the sales lifecycle.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Senior Pre-Sales Consultant, You Will
- Act as a trusted technical advisor across complex Enterprise Payments sales engagements
- Engage with prospective and existing customers to understand business goals, technical requirements, and operating environments
- Design and present end-to-end payments solutions aligned with customer needs and FIS product capabilities
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer workshops, both virtually and on-site
- Lead and contribute to RFI and RFP responses, providing detailed technical input across areas including~

- Identify risks, gaps, constraints, and assumptions while clearly articulating solution trade-offs
- Plan, design, and support Proof of Concept (POC) activities, enabling customers to evaluate solutions within their own environments
- Support Professional Services engagements during the sales cycle, including Project Definition Study (PDS) workshops
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Professional Services teams to ensure successful customer outcomes
- Develop and maintain high-quality pre-sales assets, solution documentation, presentations, and technical collateral
- Provide internal technical enablement and contribute to competitive positioning and sales readiness initiatives

What You Bring
Payments Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of enterprise payments architectures, payment processing models, and payments ecosystems
- Experience working with complex financial services and payments platforms
- Knowledge of FIS Enterprise Payments solutions is advantageous
Technical Expertise
- Working Knowledge Of Modern Enterprise And Payments Technologies Including
- Kubernetes and containerised platforms
- Databases, including Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka and MQ
- REST APIs and modern integration patterns
- Security and identity frameworks, including OpenID Connect and OAuth
- Cloud platforms such as~
- AWS
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- IBM Cloud
- Oracle Cloud
- Monitoring and observability tools, including Splunk and SIEM solutions
Pre-Sales and Customer-Facing Experience
- Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role, solution architecture role, or pre-sales consulting position
- Demonstrated ability to engage and present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior audiences
- Strong experience responding to complex RFIs and RFPs
- Ability to gather, document, and translate business and technical requirements into clear solution designs
- Experience contributing to large-scale and complex solution design or delivery initiatives

- Experience within financial services, banking, fintech, or payments organisations
- Familiarity with FIS Enterprise Payments products and solutions
- Experience supporting enterprise software sales cycles involving complex technical requirements and multiple stakeholder groups
