About the Role

SteelEye recently joined forces with FundApps, bringing together two established RegTech businesses with complementary strengths across regulatory compliance, monitoring, and surveillance.

Together, we’re building a broader platform for financial institutions, combining SteelEye’s expertise in trade and communications surveillance with FundApps’ capabilities across areas such as shareholding disclosure, position limits, and regulatory reporting.

We’re looking for a Senior Pre-Sales Specialist to play a key role in this next phase of growth. You’ll work closely with Sales and prospective clients to understand complex regulatory, business, and technical requirements, then show how our solutions can address them.

You’ll lead discovery, product demonstrations, technical discussions, and Proofs of Concept, acting as the link between the client, our commercial teams, and Product. You’ll also help shape how we position an increasingly broad suite of regulatory technology to financial institutions.

This is a highly client-facing role that combines financial markets and surveillance expertise with strong technical and commercial judgment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead client discovery and solution design, understanding business, compliance, and technical requirements and translating them into a clear SteelEye solution.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations, technical deep dives, and Proofs of Concept, adapting your approach to different audiences and client needs.
  • Partner with Sales throughout the sales cycle, helping qualify opportunities, shape solution strategy, and navigate technical or regulatory questions.
  • Support RFPs and RFIs, producing accurate and persuasive responses that clearly communicate SteelEye’s capabilities and value.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and implementation teams, sharing client requirements, providing market feedback, and ensuring a smooth transition from sale to onboarding.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, engaging confidently with compliance teams, technical stakeholders, end users, and senior decision-makers.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of SteelEye’s products and the wider regulatory landscape, helping improve pre-sales materials, processes, and how we position our solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
