Senior Technical Pre‑Sales Consultant – Enterprise Payments What you will be doing You will act as a trusted technical advisor, supporting complex Enterprise Payments sales opportunities and helping customers understand how FIS solutions meet their business and technical needs. You will engage with prospective and existing customers to understand business goals, technical requirements, and operating environments You will design and present end‑to‑end payments solutions aligned to customer needs and FIS product capabilities You will deliver high‑quality product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer workshops (virtual and on‑site) You will lead and contribute to RFI and RFP responses, providing detailed technical input across areas such as integration, security, resiliency, observability, and compliance You will identify risks, gaps, and constraints, and clearly articulate assumptions and solution trade‑offs You will plan and support Proofs of Concept (POCs), enabling customers to evaluate solutions in their own environments You will support Professional Services engagements during the sales cycle, including Project Definition Study (PDS) workshops You will collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Professional Services teams to deliver successful customer outcomes You will develop and maintain high‑quality pre‑sales materials, solution documentation, and technical assets You will provide internal technical enablement and contribute to competitive positioning and sales readiness What you bring Payments & Domain Experience Strong understanding of enterprise payments architectures, processing models, and ecosystems Experience working with complex financial services or payments platforms Familiarity with FIS Enterprise Payments solutions is an advantage Technical Expertise Working knowledge of modern enterprise and payments technologies, including: Kubernetes and containerised platforms Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) Messaging and streaming (Kafka, MQ) REST APIs and integration patterns Security and identity (OpenID Connect / OAuth) Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud) Monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Splunk, SIEM) Pre‑Sales & Customer‑Facing Experience Proven experience in a customer‑facing technical, solution architecture, or pre‑sales role Confident presenting to senior technical and non‑technical stakeholders Strong experience responding to complex RFIs and RFPs Ability to elicit, document, and translate business and technical requirements into clear solutions Experience contributing to large‑scale, complex solution design or delivery initiatives Ways you will work You communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely You take a consultative, customer‑focused approach and build trusted relationships You are comfortable operating in a fast‑moving, evolving Enterprise Payments environment You manage multiple priorities effectively and operate well with ambiguity Privacy Statement FIS is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information that we process in order to provide services to our clients.
