Senior Presales Engineer - IoT & Connectivity
Location: UK - Remote-based with customer visits and events.
The Role
A growing IoT & Connectivity technology business is looking for a Senior Presales Solutions Architect to support its move into larger enterprise customers and increasingly complex deployments.
This is a hands-on, senior IC role sitting between Sales, Customers and Engineering. You’ll lead technical customer conversations, shape solutions and ensure what is proposed can ultimately be delivered.
What You'll Do
- Lead technical discovery and consultative conversations with enterprise customers.
- Understand customer requirements and design practical, commercially viable solutions.
- Support opportunities from early qualification through to close.
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Networking, Service and Support teams.
- Develop solution designs, requirements and Statements of Work for larger deployments.
- Challenge customer assumptions and guide them towards the right solution.

What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in Presales, Solutions Architecture or Solutions Engineering.
- Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site or complex enterprise deployments.
- Strong technical understanding across IoT, Connectivity, Telco, Networking, Cloud, MSP or related technologies.
- Able to translate customer requirements into solutions that delivery teams can realistically implement.
- Strong customer-facing and consultative skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
- Commercially aware and comfortable operating independently as a senior IC.

Your Background
- Experience in IoT, Connectivity or Telco would be highly relevant, but candidates from MSP, Cloud, Networking, Cybersecurity, Digital Transformation or broader enterprise technology environments will also be considered.
- This could suit someone currently working within a larger organisation who is ready for more ownership, autonomy and impact in a growing technology business.
The Opportunity
You’ll have significant ownership across the presales process and the opportunity to play a key role in supporting larger enterprise deals and shaping how the business approaches complex solutions.
