Job Title: Senior Pricing Analyst

Target Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available

Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000

Location: Hybrid, Eastleigh / London, once a month

Senior Pricing Analyst: We’re looking for an experienced Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Home Pricing Trading team.

You’ll play an important role in helping shape the pricing strategy and trading performance of our Intermediary Home insurance portfolio. Using data, analytical techniques and commercial insight, you’ll identify opportunities to improve growth, competitiveness and profitability, and turn your analysis into clear recommendations for pricing action.

Working closely with Technical Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, Distribution and Finance, you’ll help ensure our pricing decisions deliver the right balance between customer outcomes and sustainable business performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong pricing analyst, with a curious mindset and who isn’t afraid to challenge the norm to further develop their career within a leading personal-lines pricing function.

Main Responsibilities as Senior Pricing Analyst:

  • Extract, manipulate and analyse large datasets to support pricing decisions and performance monitoring.
  • Deliver high-quality pricing analysis, presenting clear, actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Play a role in the forecast processes, connecting in with key business stakeholders from across the business.
  • Support and oversee rate releases, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in live pricing environments.
  • Combine MI, modelling outputs, and commercial targets to develop a balanced view of pricing performance.
  • Take ownership across the end-to-end price control cycle, from development to implementation.
  • Collaborate across business units to ensure pricing and underwriting decisions are aligned, well-documented and effectively delivered.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity, identifying risks and opportunities.

Skills and experience you need as Senior Pricing Analyst:

  • 2-3 years' experience in pricing.
  • Knowledge of insurance products and distribution channels (e.g. direct, intermediary, aggregators), ideally in household.
  • Proven ability to explore, validate, and analyse large datasets to generate insight.
  • Strong programming skills (e.g. SAS, R, Python) and experience with statistical or actuarial tools.
  • Experience using Radar (or similar pricing software).
  • Understanding of predictive modelling techniques such as GLMs, GBMs, Random Forests or Neural Networks.
  • A highly analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Good stakeholder management skills.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
